Spotlight Moments | Designing the Destination Workplace
Guests: Ben Kalenik, Clive Wilkinson Architects; Peter Bzowski, Lululemon Athletica
Lululemon Athletica Vancouver Headquarters
When Lululemon Athletica consolidated eight floors at 1280 Burrard totaling 120,000 square feet, the move was driven by a need to align its workplace with a progressive hybrid strategy and evolving employee expectations. The challenge was not simply to renovate, but to create a destination office that people would choose to return to, translating the performance, comfort, and intention of the brand’s apparel into spatial design. In this episode of Spotlight Moments, Ben Kalenik of Clive Wilkinson Architects and Peter Bzowski from Lululemon walk through the build out and construction approach, revealing how thoughtful planning, layered amenities, and cohesive design execution transformed the headquarters into a strategic asset that strengthens culture, supports collaboration, and reinforces brand identity through the built environment.
