Scaling Visibility with a Remote-First Leader: Zapier
The Opportunity:
Zapier, a fully remote technology company with hundreds of employees distributed globally, hosts multiple company-wide retreats each year to strengthen culture, alignment, and cross-team connection. During her tenure as Chief Marketing Officer at RetreatsAndVenues, the Creative Founder produced a strategic podcast feature spotlighting Zapier as a leader in the evolving future of work.
The Strategy: Content as Relationship Infrastructure
At the time, RetreatsAndVenues was an emerging marketplace working to build brand awareness while identifying companies actively investing in recurring retreats. Featuring Zapier aligned the brand with a
high-credibility, remote-first organization known for operational excellence and intentional team building.
The episode functioned as more than content. It positioned RetreatsAndVenues alongside companies shaping modern distributed culture, strengthened relationships with decision makers planning global
retreats, and reinforced the company’s authority within the corporate retreat ecosystem.
The Impact: A Scalable Visibility Engine
The podcast series itself was intentionally designed as concise, one-minute features — lowering the barrier for People and HR leaders who are rarely invited into long-form media conversations. During her
tenure, the Creative Founder launched 50 episodes in eight months, building a scalable visibility engine
that contributed to over $20M in qualified leads for the startup while amplifying the voices of companies
shaping modern team culture.
