Office design as a business development tool, Ep.7

Guest: Walker McKinley, McKinley Studios

McKinley Studios Office

Walker McKinley, uncovers his journey as an Architect who has always only worked for himself and tells his story of how he leveraged the unique design of his Vancouver office to help break into a new market. The conceptual intention was to express McKinley’s hospitality aesthetic in a contrasting industrial environment while articulating the company’s artsy and fun culture through unexpected sculptures and a museum-like function. The office design aids to position them as a boutique design leader and attracts new businesses for clients looking for a differentiated business model. The beautiful space and workplace culture attracts and retains like-minded, talented designers who want to work for a flexible firm that allows them to have full automony.
