The power of an architectural poem, Ep.5

Guest: Venelin Kokalov, Revery Architecture.

The University of Chicago’s Hong Kong Campus

Revery Architecture was selected to compete in an international architecture competition and won the design for the University of Chicago in Hong Kong. With the concept of a tree house in mind, Revery designed an elevated form that managed to embrace the nature surrounding it while not taking away from the heritage site. Designing this university was a tremendous feat considering the complex site conditions and compelling history that could not be diminished. In this video Venelin Kokalov describes his life journey to becoming the Design Principal at Revery as well as his unique approach to the art of architecture. The project story and his design process will leave you in awe as you begin to understand the power of an Architectural poem through his design.
